For Eon Visual Media, I implemented a full SEO strategy starting with on-page changes. I completed a full site audit and spoke to each department to understand how each service is discussed and the terminology used. After conducting keyword research, I chose terms that the target audience searched for. These served as a base for the rest of the copy changes, including all of the texts, headlines, page titles, meta descriptions, image alt text and more. This was done for each page, post (blog) and project (case studies) published on the website. In addition to this, I linked internally where relevant to ease navigation and increase engagement.
In terms of off-page and technical changes, these included fixing URL and site crawl issues, disavowing toxic backlinks, increasing page speed with various fixes, executing a social media strategy, and more.
Overall, this process has been slowly implemented over several months to great and continued success. Here are some highlights:
- Search visibility has increased from 0.15% to 2.85% (1,800%)
- Keywords ranking position #1-3 increased from 3 to 13 (333%)

I have been working with this client to implement SEO from July 2023 to September 2024.

2021-23
Simpson’s Properties
Following a successful SEO campaign at Landlord Broadband, the CEO requested that I optimise the website of his other business, Simpson’s Properties. These changes were implemented and monitored over a three-month period.
Here are the highlights:
- Visibility increased by 41.1%, from 0.97% to 42.07%
- The average position of keywords increased from 62.88 to 3.5
- Reduced cannibalisation by 25%
- I identified 8 viable long-tail keywords to target
- 8/8 keywords rank in the top 8 search results, 5 of which are in the top 3
- The largest search ranking increase went from not ranking to 2nd
To expand upon this, I was tasked with optimising and improving the rankings of five pages on the website, including the home page. I first began by using SEMrush to identify relevant keywords with a high volume of traffic. Once keywords were chosen, they were assigned to pages where applicable. Using the Yoast SEO plugin on WordPress, I was able to achieve ‘good’ readability and SEO. This involved rewriting many of the pages, adding alt text to images, inserting outbound links, and much more. All pages were sent to be indexed by Google, something not previously done.
In terms of website development aspects, I was able to install plugins to increase site health and eradicate malware from the site. Moreover, I learned how to code in order to make some small aesthetic changes such as removing underlines for links (which was specifically requested despite accessibility concerns).
I am grateful for the opportunity to improve upon and utilise my SEO skills and am very proud of the work I have been able to achieve at this time.
Landlord Broadband
During the course of my employment at Landlord Broadband, there have been various SEO and website-related campaigns. This has been a collaborative effort across the marketing team. Here are some of the highlights:
- Visibility increased by 15.57%, from 65.25% to 80.82%
- The average position of keywords increased from 19.05 to 1.75
- Reduced cannibalisation by 20%
- Direct traffic has increased by 53.14%
- The number of users has increased by 6.85% in 2022-23 since 2021-22
- The number of new users has increased by 6.52% in 2022-23 since 2021-22
To expand, I have completed a number of SEO audits for Landlord Broadband, which enabled us to identify various issues with our strategy. Namely, the amount of cannibalisation. As a result, we refined our position tracking list to focus on more relevant keywords. We then assigned these keywords only one page instead of multiple, which led to us competing with ourselves for rankings. Furthermore, we made various changes to the website in order to improve site health, which now sits at 96%. This includes improving page speeds, optimising for mobile, and increasing crawlablity.
