During the summer of 2021, I undertook a full-time internship at Landlord Broadband, where I was responsible for two significant projects aimed at comprehensively revamping the marketing processes and associated tasks.
Business Improvement Project
The objective of this project was to enhance the effectiveness of marketing activities by systematically testing, measuring, and evaluating marketing processes, the utilisation of software tools, and overall operational functionality.
This included:
Benchmarking competitors
Identifying decision-makers and creating personas for each audience segment
On-page, off-page and technical SEO
Maintaining the quality of website content
Increasing the frequency of social media posting and engagement
Reviewing tender processes, setting up profiles, and searching for relevant opportunities
Reviewing the use and necessity of various software
Researching the potential ROI of marketing activities
Identifying influencers, journals, and trade associations for each market
Copywriting
Creating a brand identity
Setting marketing objectives & KPIs
Creating, launching and reviewing paid ads on LinkedIn and Twitter
Marketing Transformation Project
The objective of this project was to develop a comprehensive, end-to-end marketing system.
This included:
Identifying key communication messages, unique selling points, and pain hooks for each audience segment
Identifying decision-makers and creating personas for each audience segment
Creating, publishing and promoting content
Identifying and actioning SEO opportunities
Identifying influencers, journals, and trade associations for each market
Reading government documents about audience segments and disseminating key information and regulatory changes to other team members
Testing and measuring top, middle, and bottom of funnel marketing activities, offering feedback and identifying opportunities for improvement
