I have copywriting experience from various sources, one of which is from blog writing. This is a little bit about my process. Most of the time, the aim is to generate organic search traffic to increase awareness and brand recognition within a relevant audience. Thus, I begin with choosing an audience segment and identifying a relevant topic to research.
Once the topic is chosen, I research a relevant and attainable keyword to target. To do this, I identify a range of keywords and evaluate their keyword difficulty and search volumes, which narrow down my options. Most importantly, I use my judgment to determine the intent of each search term to ensure the traffic is as qualified as possible. For example, if looking to capture an audience that is considering a purchase, search terms including ‘why buy’ or ‘what is best’ indicate that position in the buyer journey.
One of my favourite SEO tools is Yoast, which I use to help polish up my drafts and ensure the on-page SEO is as strong as it can be. Here are some examples of pieces I have written previously.
